Binny’s Beverage Depot in Peoria, IL seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the General Manager across store operations, guest service, and product sales. You will lead a team, respond to customer inquiries, and help drive performance with planning and HR tasks.

The role requires 2+ years in retail management and strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills. Evening/weekend availability is expected.

• 2+ years’ experience in retail store management.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager in all areas of the store by providing strong leadership and oversight.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and staff, and respond to inquiries and needs.
• Identify staff strengths and create developmental plans for growth.
• Generate sales and handle complex transactions with positive interactions.
• Use resources to assess opportunities and improve performance.
• Administer HR tasks, including performance reviews and training checklists.
• Assist in forecasting and adapting to business needs.
• Identify opportunities to drive customer traffic via tastings and events.
• Maintain staffing levels through applicant reviews and staff development.
• Plan and adjust schedules to maximize sales and productivity.
• Enforce all company policies including health, safety, and security.
• Participate in product training and educational opportunities.
• Perform duties as directed by supervisor.
