Qualifications

• Cashier responsibilities and customer service experience required.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with composure.
• Standing or walking for extended periods is expected.
• Must be 21 years old and able to perform essential duties.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products to assist customers.
• Report pricing and scanning discrepancies to management.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Handle returns and exchanges per company policies.
• Communicate new programs and promotions to shoppers.
• Follow policies for stamps, money orders, gift certificates, lottery, and money transfers.
• Stock and inventory department merchandise and maintain visibility of inventory.
• Report ordering and shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay aware of seasonal ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety guidelines.
