Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Indiana is hiring a Store Team Member to deliver exceptional customer service and help drive daily store operations. You’ll mentor peers, handle daily tasks, and contribute to a positive, inclusive shopping environment for our customers.

Responsibilities include engaging customers at checkout, coordinating tasks, and supporting training, scheduling, and stock rotation to meet Meijer standards and sales goals. Weekend availability is common.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Retail or other customer service experience needed.
• Ability to mentor and coach team members.
• Commitment to diverse, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to provide a great shopping experience at checkout and on the floor.
• Communicate tasks to team members and assign daily work.
• Mentor and coach teammates to exceed service and sales goals.
• Assist training of new team members and cross-train high-potential staff.
• Assist with department scheduling to improve engagement and profitability.
• Maintain product freshness, rotate stock, and follow dating policies.
• Ensure food safety standards and safe working practices.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and displays when applicable.
• Support Meijer culture and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
