Job summary

Meijer in Whitestown, IN is seeking a dedicated team member to support daily store operations and deliver outstanding customer service. You will engage with customers, help assign daily tasks, and assist in coaching peers to meet sales goals while maintaining Meijer standards.

You will participate in training new team members, manage department scheduling, monitor product freshness, and uphold safety and inclusion across the store. This role may involve leadership duties across departments.

Qualifications

• Retail or other customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience for customers.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily work tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed sales goals and complete trainings.
• Support training of new team members and cross-training of talent.
• Assist with department schedule writing to improve engagement and sales.
• Ensure product freshness by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Guide safety and food safety compliance and uphold 200% accountability.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and display where applicable.
• Foster an inclusive Meijer culture and diversity.
• Operate a register and cash handling when needed.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments; perform other duties as assigned.
