Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Store Associate in Ithaca, NY to deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and ensure a fast checkout experience. You will help with truck unloading, stocking, and maintaining in-store merchandising according to planograms.

The role involves engaging customers in rewards programs, supporting omnichannel processes like BOPIS/SFS, and contributing to store recovery and safety programs. Must be 16 or older and able to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and in-stock maintenance; manage returns/go backs.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties.
• Support shrink and safety programs; adhere to SOPs and company policies.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Other duties as assigned.
