Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products and store-wide items.
• Know products and respond to questions; suggest items and inform about specials.
• Check product quality and ensure freshness; monitor sell-by dates and take action as needed.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; provide customers with fresh products.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures and logs.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and notify managers of needed repairs.
• Notify management of accidents and report safety risks or fraud.
