Job summary

Responsibilities

• Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger bags groceries at checkout and assists customers.
• Strives to bag at least five items without damaging contents.
• Follows best practices for bagging in various bag types.
• Assist in removing customers' merchandise from bottom of bascart at checkout.
• Offers to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts to designated areas.
• Clean spills, collect trash inside store and parking lot; maintain a clean environment.
• Handle seasonal merchandise and know the store layout for price checks.
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions to management; adhere to food safety regulations.
• Follow directions, resolve issues, and provide assistance to minors, customers with special needs, and older adults.
