Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in Perry, GA is seeking a friendly cashier/checker to create an outstanding customer experience by greeting customers and processing transactions quickly and accurately.

You will operate the POS system, handle payments and coupons, follow policies, maintain a safe, clean environment, and assist with store objectives while upholding the company's values.

Responsibilities

• Cashier/Checker greets, engages and assists customers.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers.
• Adhere to cash handling limits, prevent loss, and follow policies on restricted sale items.
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer product questions throughout the store.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and handle conflicts calmly.
