Job summary

Kroger is hiring at our Conroe, TX store to deliver outstanding customer experiences and maintain a safe, clean shopping environment. As a front-line team member, you will greet customers, process transactions at the lane, and navigate the POS system, handling cash, checks, and electronic payments in line with store policy.

You will also follow promotional ads, enforce age-restricted item rules, assist with pricing discrepancies, and support safety and loss prevention programs while delivering

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons).
• Adhere to policies on cash shortages/overages and loss prevention.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety programs.
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify management; participate in preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Provide friendly service and answer questions about products; create a welcoming environment.
