Job summary

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in the checkout area.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, and loyalty offers.
• Follow company policies on cash handling, shortages/overages and loss prevention.
• Comply with guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow stamps, gift cards, and coupon procedures.
• Stay aware of ads, promotions and food safety regulations.
• Ensure a safe, clean environment and address unsafe conditions with management.
• Provide friendly, helpful service and assist customers including minors and seniors as needed.
