Job summary

Kroger in Bennett, CO is seeking a friendly Cashier/Checker to greet customers, process transactions quickly and accurately, and maintain a safe, clean shopping environment.

You will work with a diverse team, follow store policies on payments, discounts, and age-restricted items, and help customers with questions while upholding Kroger's values.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, engage and assist customers in a visible manner.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the POS system and handle tender types per policy (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, loyalty offers).
• Adhere to cash handling limits and prevent loss, following company policy.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator and follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
