Kroger Co. is hiring a friendly Cashier/Checker at 300 Atlantic Ave, Pittsburg, CA 94565, US. You will greet customers, process transactions, and uphold store standards to create a safe, welcoming shopping experience.

As a member of our Kroger family, you’ll handle POS transactions, follow policy on cash handling and restricted items, assist with promotions, and help maintain food safety and loss-prevention practices while delivering outstanding customer service.

Formación

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsabilidades

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle various tenders (cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, OFFLINE SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons).
• Adhere to cash shortage/overage limits and loss-prevention practices.
• Adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs and notify management of unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and notify for repair needs.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist questions about products.
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts calmly and cooperatively.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
