Job summary

Rural King is looking for a friendly Cashier to deliver exceptional service at our store. You’ll greet customers, process transactions, and maintain a welcoming shopping environment while educating customers on loyalty programs and Rural King Visa options.

In this role you’ll handle cash handling, returns, exchanges, and price disputes with accuracy, participate in cross-training, and collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth checkout experience for every guest.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills are required.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems and software.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to interact with a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive and positive attitude towards training new cashiers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a welcoming store experience.
• Process transactions accurately and maintain registers.
• Educate customers on loyalty programs and payment options.
• Follow policies for returns, layaway, and exchanges.
• Communicate professionally with customers and associates.
• Provide product information and recommendations.
• Coordinate with loaders to assist customers.
• Handle price disputes with professionalism and accuracy.
• Stand by registers when not engaged in a transaction.
• Promote Rural King Visa card benefits and exclusive offers.
• Answer incoming calls with proper store etiquette.
• Ensure proper deactivation of EAS devices as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and stocking in assigned areas.
• Participate in cross-training and training initiatives.
• Support others with inquiries and issues promptly.
