Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona in Peoria, AZ is looking for a store team member to lead an excellent customer and brand experience, handle POS transactions, and help promote sales. You will greet customers, stock shelves, maintain floor standards, and support closing procedures while upholding Goodwill Core Values.

Applicants must be 16+, able to pass background checks, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent math skills preferred.
• Ability to communicate and understand instructions, both verbal and written, in English.
• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.

Responsibilities

• Performs Point of Sale (POS) responsibilities and processes all forms of payments.
• Asks each customer for cash donations at POS.
• Establishes or identifies prices of goods via the type of merchandise, identifying markings, or asking for help from an on-site leader.
• Completes closing procedures, as necessary.
• Greet customers that enter the store and thank customers leaving the establishment.
• Maintains sales floor by following floorwork and PPM standards.
• Stocks merchandise in appropriate area as assigned.
• Utilizes systems, including phones and paging systems to make regularly scheduled announcements.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment.
• Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.
