Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet customers cheerfully and thank them as they leave; answer questions to ensure quality service.
- Retrieve and organize shopping carts, ensure they are not left in parking areas, and take defective carts out of service.
- Help customers by loading groceries into vehicles.
- Maintain cleanliness of parking lot, store vestibule, and front-end; manage trash and recycling receptacles.
- Monitor safety issues, especially at entrance and exit areas, to prevent hazards.
- Assist cashiers with bagging, respond to intercom pages, and perform cleaning duties including restroom and break room sanitation.
- Operate cleaning equipment if trained (training provided), and maintain it in good condition.
- Help keep the sales floor safe by removing slip/trip hazards and clearing sidewalks of snow and ice.
- Report repairs, maintenance needs, and unsafe conditions to management; notify when supplies are needed.
- Work cooperatively with team members to ensure smooth store operations and improve job performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualification Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred; no prior experience required.
