Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers cheerfully as they enter and thank them as they leave. Assist customers with questions and provide excellent service.
• Retrieve and organize shopping carts, ensuring they are not left in parking areas and are taken from the cart corral to the store front. Empty debris from carts and take defective carts out of service.
• Help customers by loading groceries into vehicles.
• Keep parking lot, store vestibule, and front-end clean and debris-free. Maintain trash and recycling receptacles, emptying and replacing bags as needed.
• Remain alert to safety issues, especially at entrances and exits, to prevent hazards.
• Assist cashiers by bagging groceries, respond to intercom pages promptly, and perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, restroom and break room cleaning, and replenishing supplies.
• Operate cleaning equipment if trained (training provided), and maintain it in good condition.
• Ensure the sales floor and surrounding areas are free of slip and trip hazards, and clear sidewalks of snow and ice when necessary.
• Report repair, maintenance, or safety issues to management and inform about supply needs.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and continuously improve job performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred; no prior experience required.

Rate Of Pay And Benefits

Starting hourly pay is $15.00, up to $22.00. Benefits include health coverage, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k), scholarships, discounts, and paid time off.
