Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Customer Experience Attendant is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

1. Greet customers cheerfully upon entry and thank them as they leave; answer questions and assist to ensure quality customer service.
2. Retrieve all shopping carts safely and efficiently; ensure carts are not left in parking areas, take from cart corral to store front, and empty debris from carts. Take defective carts out of service.
3. Help customers by loading groceries into vehicles.
4. Maintain cleanliness of parking lot, store vestibule, and front-end; manage trash and recycling receptacles.
5. Remain alert to safety issues, especially at entrances and exits, to prevent hazards.
6. Assist cashiers with bagging groceries; respond promptly to intercom pages; perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, restroom and break room cleaning, and waste disposal.
7. Operate cleaning equipment if over 18 and trained; maintain equipment in good repair.
8. Help keep the sales floor and sidewalks free of slip and trip hazards; assist with snow and ice removal if needed.
9. Notify management of repairs, maintenance needs, unsafe conditions, or supply shortages.
10. Cooperate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth store operations and improve job performance.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED preferred; no prior experience required. Ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily.
