Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in the United States seeks a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions, manage transactions at the cash register, and keep the store stocked and clean.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or service experience; physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for long periods; you will work part-time and contribute to a friendly environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
