Qualifications

• Education and/or experience completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly, in a polite and professional manner.
• Operates front end scanning equipment and cash register and ensures accurate checkout, handling cash, checks, electronic payments and coupons.
• Maintains proper security measures and cash drawer accounting procedures, avoiding overages and shortages.
• Maintains knowledge of weekly ads, promotions and store layout to answer customer questions and assist in other departments as needed.
• Follows health, OSHA requirements and cleaning schedules to keep work areas and equipment clean and safe.
