Syndesus, Inc. is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with enterprise clients and deliver production-ready voice AI solutions end-to-end in Redwood City, CA.

You'll bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders, shape the platform from field insights, and become the go-to expert on building with voice AI and LLM-powered systems.

Qualifications

• Ideally 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role.
• Exceptional communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Working knowledge of LLM-powered systems and their UX implications.

Responsibilities

• Lead full project delivery from prototyping to production on a voice agent platform.
• Partner with sales to gather requirements, prototype demos, and present designs to clients.
• Develop expertise in voice AI solutions, including LLM prompting strategies and best practices.
• Scope projects, resolve blockers, and keep cross-functional teams aligned with concise, effective updates.
• Codify reusable patterns into tools or platform components.
• Translate field feedback into actionable product and GTM recommendations.

Senior Forward Deployed Engineer | Voice AI Startup

About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing Y Combinator-backed Voice AI startup transforming sales, support, and customer engagement. With $5M in seed funding and approaching $65M ARR, achieved with just 30 people, they're building the standard for voice automation at scale.

The Role

As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll embed directly with enterprise clients to deliver production-ready voice AI solutions end-to-end. You'll be the bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, driving adoption, shaping the platform through field insights, and becoming a go-to expert on building with voice AI and LLM-powered systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full project delivery using a cutting-edge voice agent platform — from prototyping through to production — communicating progress and risks clearly throughout
• Partner with sales to gather requirements, prototype demos, and present system designs to clients
• Develop deep expertise in voice AI solutions, including LLM prompting strategies and best practices
• Scope projects, resolve blockers, and keep cross-functional teams aligned with concise, effective updates
• Codify reusable patterns into tools or platform components
• Translate field feedback into actionable product and GTM recommendations

Requirements

• Ideally 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role — Solutions Engineering, Technical PM, Customer Success/Support Engineering, or founder/analagous experience
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Working knowledge of LLM-powered systems and their UX implications
• Proactive risk management and the ability to maintain momentum under pressure
