Job summary

The Children’s Place in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will deliver excellent customer service, share product knowledge, and utilize effective selling techniques to drive results.

You will maintain merchandise presentation, assist with replenishment and sizing, handle the cashwrap accurately, and help maintain a clean, organized store and stockroom while following Loss Prevention procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Communicate value and quality of merchandise and promotions.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to improve conversion.
• Assist at cashwrap and explain PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure size/style representation.
• Follow standards for merchandise presentation, signage and display.
• Keep stockroom neat, clean, and organized; ensure customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping per standards.
• Protect company assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform leadership of maintenance and facility needs.
• Contribute to store goals with focused, well-managed efforts.
• Process stock flexibly as needed.
