Job summary

The Children’s Place in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will deliver excellent customer service, share product knowledge, and use effective selling techniques to drive store performance.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing transactions at the cashwrap, maintaining merchandise presentation, stock levels, and a clean, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency, prioritizing assisting customers.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Explain product value and promotions and offer solutions for out of stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and promote the PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure a full range of sizes and styles.
• Follow signage and display standards for merchandise presentation.
• Keep stockroom neat and organized and maintain a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standards.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention procedures.
• Inform leadership promptly about maintenance and facility needs.
• Contribute to store goals with focused efforts.
• Flexibly process stock as needed.
