Job summary

The Children's Place in Bloomfield, NJ is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals and initiatives. You will engage customers, greet and assist with promotions, and help maintain stock and merchandising standards to deliver a high-quality shopping experience.

Responsibilities include fast, friendly service at the cashwrap, promoting the PLACE Card, and teamwork to meet store targets.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Explain value and promotions, offer solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Contribute to conversion through selling skills.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and explain PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure size/style representation.
• Follow standards for merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Keep stockroom neat and organized, maintain customer-ready environment, and safety compliance.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standards.
• Protect assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Report maintenance and facility needs promptly to leadership.
• Contribute to store goals with focused efforts.
• Handle stock processing as needed.
