Job summary

The Children’s Place in Paterson, NJ is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will deliver exceptional customer service, share product knowledge, and apply effective selling techniques to meet targets.

You will maintain neat merchandising, stock, and backroom organization, while supporting loss prevention and safe store operations. This role may require weekends and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency to help customers.
• Explain value and promotions and offer solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgement.
• Assist customers to convert with selling skills.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and explain PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure proper size and style representation.
• Follow merchandising standards and set up displays.
