The Children's Place in Paterson, NJ is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will model exceptional customer service, share product knowledge, and use effective selling techniques on the sales floor and at the cashwrap.

You will maintain merchandise presentation, stock levels, and backroom organization, while adhering to safety and loss prevention standards. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 18+ years of age.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency.
• Greet customers and provide the appropriate level of service.
• Explain value and promotions and offer solutions for out of stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and explain PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure all sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow merchandising standards and signage.
• Keep stockroom neat, clean, and safe; support customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standards.
• Adhere to Loss Prevention procedures and report needs promptly.
• Contribute to store goals and be flexible with stock processing.
