Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Associate to be the primary point of contact for customers, assist in maintaining plan-o-grams, and stock merchandise to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, bag items, and help with merchandising and store cleanliness.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stock rotation, implementing storefront displays, and following company policies.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock, rotate, and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Clean store areas and operate cash register.
• Greet customers and handle payments.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Set up sidewalk displays when needed.
