Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to serve as the point of contact for customers, maintain plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and keep the sales floor clean and organized. You will help with displays and customer assistance to maximize profitability and satisfaction.

The role includes unloading trucks, operating the cash register, handling transactions, and supporting the team in stocking and merchandising tasks on a fast-paced retail floor.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidelines.
• Basic cash handling and math skills.
• Experience with IBM POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build and stock displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and bag purchases; collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Clean front end of store and assist with sidewalk displays.
