Kroger Co. is hiring for a part-time Cashier/Checker at our Royal Oak, MI location. You will greet customers, assist with their purchases, and process transactions efficiently while following policies on tender types, discounts, and safety practices.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, basic math, and the ability to work in a fast-paced store environment. Prior cashier or courtesy clerk experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout to create a positive experience.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently in the check lane.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle tender types (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) per policy.
• Adhere to cash-handling limits and loss-prevention guidelines.
