Infi Robotics in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a hands-on Business Development professional to identify and win early customer programs for our Universal Factory.
You will work directly with the founder and engineering team to understand hardware assembly needs, craft scoped paid pilots, and turn conversations into lasting production relationships, with ownership of proposals and commercial negotiations.
Infi’s mission is to unlock physical abundance and reindustrialize America by building the Universal Factory: a fully autonomous, general-purpose factory that can turn any design into a finished product.
We are a robotics-native contract manufacturer helping hardware companies scale from prototype to production at our factory in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our initial focus is automated assembly for robots, drones, and other intelligent hardware.
Find and win the early customer programs that Infi should build, then develop them into lasting production relationships. You will work directly with the founder and engineering team to understand hardware companies' assembly problems, identify where we can deliver real value, and turn conversations into well-scoped paid builds. You own the customer relationship and commercial process, partnering with manufacturing on execution and acceptance.
Find and qualify hardware companies with assembly needs that fit our capabilities, economics, and stage. Build relationships with engineering and operations decision makers.
Understand customer products, volumes, quality requirements, schedules, and purchasing decisions. Work with engineering on realistic quotes, pilot scope, and acceptance criteria.
Own proposals and commercial discussions through paid pilots, keeping commitments clear and turning successful builds into repeat production.
Stay close through delivery, resolve issues with the team, and use customer feedback to improve positioning, pricing, and which opportunities we pursue.
Experience turning hardware customer needs into agreed programs or commercial outcomes, with clear ownership of the relationship and result.
A background in technical business development, solutions engineering, contract manufacturing, or NPI, manufacturing, or supply-chain ownership.
Technical fluency in drawings, bills of materials, assembly, and quality requirements, plus sound judgment about customer fit, cost, and delivery risk.
Ability to build a pipeline, run precise discovery, negotiate, and follow through. Winning outsourced assembly programs or building an early hardware customer base is useful additional experience.
