Infi Robotics in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a hands-on assembler to join our first production systems. You will assemble and test electromechanical hardware, build fixtures and workcells, and collaborate with engineers to diagnose issues and improve repeatable steps.
You should read drawings and wiring diagrams, perform basic electrical testing, maintain records, and help train robots on new assembly tasks.
Infi’s mission is to unlock physical abundance and reindustrialize America by building the Universal Factory: a fully autonomous, general-purpose factory that can turn any design into a finished product.
We are a robotics-native contract manufacturer helping hardware companies scale from prototype to production at our factory in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our initial focus is automated assembly for robots, drones, and other intelligent hardware.
Build, test, and improve the hardware at the center of our first production systems. You will assemble customer products, help build fixtures and robotic workcells, and work with engineers to diagnose problems. Your hands-on knowledge will also help us teach robots new assembly tasks. As repeatable steps become automated, you will help take on the next build and improve how it gets made.
Assemble and rework electromechanical products from drawings and instructions, including mechanical assembly, wiring, crimping, and soldering.
Help build, modify, and maintain fixtures, test setups, end effectors, and robotic workcells with engineers.
Run inspections and functional checks, record results, and troubleshoot defects. Improve instructions so the next build is more consistent.
Capture assembly demonstrations and help test robotic workflows. Keep tools and parts organized and follow safe handling and ESD practices.
Hands-on experience building or repairing electromechanical hardware through work, technical training, or substantial personal projects.
Ability to read assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, pinouts, and work instructions, and to flag unclear requirements.
Careful workmanship with hand tools, wiring, crimping, or soldering, plus basic electrical testing with a multimeter and accurate record keeping.
Reliability, attention to detail, and clear communication. Harnesses, electronics rework, 3D printing, CAD, fixtures, robotics, or IPC standards are useful additional experience. Prior machine learning experience is not required.
