Job summary

Indiana Michigan Power Company is seeking a design-focused engineer to lead the Distribution Design group, directing technical activities such as analyzing service requests, drafting work orders, estimating materials, and mapping the distribution system.

You will mentor staff, ensure customer satisfaction, monitor progress against budgets and codes, and collaborate with other departments to maintain accurate maps and standards across the distribution network.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline, and minimum of 5 years' experience in the design of power system electrical distribution facilities or other related experience.
  • OR associate’s degree in electrical/electronic technology or related discipline, and minimum of 7 years' experience in the design of distribution facilities
  • OR High school diploma or GED with 9 years of experience in the design of distribution facilities.

What We're Looking For:

Education and work requirements are listed below:

Physical demand level is Sedentary

The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.


Compensation Data

Compensation Grade: SP20-008


Compensation Range: $98,993.00 - $128,688.00
