Job summary

Save-A-Lot in Yazoo City, MS is seeking a Store Associate to join our retail team. You will assist customers, cashier, stock shelves, and maintain clean and organized store conditions to uphold daily store standards.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, handling cash, processing transactions, resolving customer issues, and supporting loss prevention and safety procedures. English proficiency and flexible scheduling are required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service skills and product knowledge.
• Proficiency in basic math and cash handling.
• Read, write and speak English; Spanish a plus.
• Dependable, flexible, and able to work varied shifts.
• Willingness to travel to multiple work locations.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store according to established procedures.
• Direct and monitor day-to-day activities of store team members.
• Communicate with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Resolve customer complaints, including exchanges and refunds.
• Perform cashier duties and cash handling tasks.
• Stock within all departments and maintain store cleanliness.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and loss prevention procedures.
• Handle media and regulatory inquiries by referring to Store Manager.
