Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Chattanooga, Tennessee seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily functions, supervise associates, and ensure a friendly, safe shopping environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, processing directives, loss prevention, merchandising, scheduling and payroll tasks, and maintaining stockrooms and displays to company standards. The role rewards reliability and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handle damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff comply.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness, restrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
