Job summary

Mississippi River Bank in Port Sulphur, LA, is seeking a Retail Banker II (Teller) to deliver an exceptional banking experience. You will assist customers with deposits, withdrawals, and a range of transactions while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

You will balance ATMs and vault operations, handle debit card requests and disputes, and support online banking and account maintenance. Mentoring teammates and building relationships through proactive service are key.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of retail banking experience.
• Previous cash handling experience.
• Strong customer service background.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with deposits, withdrawals, and a variety of banking transactions.
• Balance ATMs, cash dispensers/recyclers, or manage vault operations as assigned.
• Process debit card requests, including card orders, replacements, and PIN resets.
• Accept and process debit card disputes in partnership with the Electronic Banking Department.
• Enhance the customer experience by assisting with stop payments, address changes, check orders, and other account maintenance requests.
• Comply with all Bank policies and procedures, including Integrated Teller Override Procedures.
• Serve as a retail online banking specialist and resource for customers.
• Mentor and support new team members through training and guidance.
• Build and strengthen customer relationships through exceptional service and proactive communication.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Retail Bank Manager or Bank leadership.
