Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and provide prompt service at the register
• Operate the cash register and process payments (cash, checks, cards, coupons, food stamps, WIC, rain checks, store charges, lottery)
• Count back change and issue receipts or credits as needed
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines for WIC, tobacco, liquor and lottery
• Assist customers, stock and rotate merchandise, and support drive-up and carry-out services
• Maintain knowledge of item lookup numbers, prices, and weekly ads
• Keep the register area clean and report cash issues
• Maintain safety and cooperate with store management on promotions and events
