Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and assisting in a friendly manner.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons per policy.
• Maintain compliance with cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Adhere to guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons when applicable.
• Stay updated with present and upcoming ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Inspect equipment and report any needed repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines; work well under pressure.
• Manage conflicts calmly and professionally.
• Provide service with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
