Job description

Base pay range

$17.25/hr - $22.00/hr

Location: Virtual

Hours: Monday - Friday, an 8-hour shift between 8:00 am - 6 pm EST.

Responsibilities
  • Responds to customer questions via telephone and written correspondence regarding insurance benefits, provider contracts, eligibility, and claims.
  • Analyzes problems and provides information/solutions.
  • Operates a PC/image station to obtain and extract information; documents activities and changes in the database.
  • Documents inquiry outcomes for accurate tracking and analysis.
  • Develops and maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with various functions to ensure timely handling of requests.
  • Researches and analyzes data to address operational challenges and customer service issues.
  • Provides requested information to external and internal customers.
  • Under supervision, makes follow-up calls/emails to answer routine questions.
  • Uses computerized systems for tracking and troubleshooting.
  • Outbound calls are conducted in the ZipDrug business area.
Minimum Requirements
  • HS diploma or equivalent and experience in an automated customer service environment, or equivalent education and experience.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, facilitation, and analytical skills, especially for URAC accredited areas.
  • Experience in high-volume call centers is preferred.
