Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring a Store Cashier/Checker in Whitehall, OH. You will greet customers, handle quick and accurate checkouts, and operate the POS system with various tender types while following company policies.

Maintain a safe, clean environment and provide helpful product information to shoppers. Qualifications include basic math skills; prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in-store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Operate the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, etc.).
• Adhere to cash handling policies and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow policies for restricted items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs) and use coupons correctly.
• Report pricing discrepancies and stay updated on ads and promotions.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers.
