Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED is required.
• Experience: 3+ years in a related billing/investigations role.
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts detailed review and analysis of billing exceptions and completes billing adjustments.
• Analyzes billing implications and calculates re-billings to ensure revenue posting.
• Acquires and analyzes data from multiple systems to complete billing investigations.
• Collaborates with field groups to initiate investigations and interpret data from the field to resolve and update records and re-bill the customer account.
• Coordinates with other departments to resolve complex billing and critical account maintenance issues.
• Facilitates rapid resolution of billing exceptions and follows up with external customers.
• Maintains system integrity to support timely and accurate billing and prevents further exceptions.
• Ensures problems are investigated and corrected before bills are issued.
• Updates customer accounts to prevent future billing issues and improve customer satisfaction.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Employees in this role conduct detailed investigations on customer accounts in order to complete complex billing exceptions. Must navigate multiple systems simultaneously and have the ability to move quickly between tasks without compromising accuracy of billing. Must take action to ensure billing issues are investigated and resolved, entering billing adjustments as needed. Pro active communication and strong follow through are necessary to complete pending work queues that fail system validation. Position requires strong problem solving, investigative and analytical skills. Must be able to work independently, follow process/procedures and be confident to make fact based decisions with minimal guidance. Must be able to interpret field investigations related to difficult billing exceptions and enter billing adjustments accordingly.

• Conducts detailed review and analysis of billing exceptions and completes billing adjustments
• Conducts analysis to understand billing implications and calculates re-billings in order to ensure billing accuracy and appropriate revenue posting
• Acquires and analyzes data from multiple systems to complete timely and accurate billing investigations
• Collaborates with field groups to initiate investigations to resolve billing issues and performs entry-level analysis to interpret data from the field in order to resolve and update records and re-bill the customer's account
• Coordinates with other departments to resolve complex billing and critical account maintenance issues
• Facilitates rapid resolution of billing exceptions
• Follows-up with external customers to gather information and resolve exceptions
• Maintains integrity of systems to support timely and accurate billing
• Ensures problems are investigated and corrected before incorrect bills are issued
• Updates customer accounts to prevent further billing exceptions and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
