Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking an energetic Teller to support daily branch operations for Consumer and Business Banking customers. You will help customers with transactions, educate them on products, and guide digital channel usage while delivering friendly, accurate service.

You will follow the bank's sales process, identify opportunities to meet banking needs, refer complex requests to specialists, and contribute to customer retention and a differentiated, service-oriented experience in a busy branch.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of proven retail sales, call center, customer service, or telesales experience.

Responsibilities

• Educate customers on Consumer and Business Banking products and benefits.
• Engage customers to bank with us and promote use of digital capabilities.
• Explain high-level loan criteria to customers.
• Complete servicing tasks and identify opportunities to address other banking needs.
• Follow the Bank's sales process and provide customer-focused guidance.
• Reach out to customers to support retention and expansion of relationships.
• Adhere to customer service standards and deliver a differentiated experience.
• Assist with lobby management and greeting customers; log interactions in the system.
