Job summary

AlertMedia is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Advocacy Contractor (up to 20 hours per week) to support the day-to-day execution of the customer advocacy program. You will help manage customer references, aid advocacy initiatives, and support workflows that enable the Customer Marketing team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day coordination and execution of the customer reference program with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing.
  • Identify and recruit customers for advocacy opportunities (references, case studies, reviews, engagements).
  • Track activities, participation, and program metrics for reporting and health.
  • Manage customer reference records, profiles, and availability across systems.
  • Develop and update advocacy documentation and templates for efficient execution.
  • Monitor shared advocacy inboxes and route requests to stakeholders.
  • Support customer recognition and appreciation initiatives.
  • Draft internal communications promoting wins and updates.
  • Track program performance and prepare summaries.
  • Organize marketing assets, templates, and documentation.
  • Coordinate logistics for stories, webinars, and other initiatives.

Who you are

We're looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Customer Advocacy Contractor (up to 20 hours per week) to support the day-to-day execution of AlertMedia's customer advocacy program. This role will help manage customer references, support advocacy initiatives, and assist with operational workflows that enable the Customer Marketing team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

You’ll partner closely with the Customer Marketing team to maintain a healthy customer reference program, coordinate advocacy opportunities, support internal communications, and contribute to ongoing program operations. Success in this role requires strong organization, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys building relationships behind the scenes, keeping programs organized, creating polished communications, and supporting cross-functional marketing initiatives.

What you will deliver

Customer Advocacy & Reference Management

  • Support the day-to-day coordination and execution of AlertMedia's customer reference program in partnership with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing.
  • Assist with identifying and recruiting customers for advocacy opportunities, including references, case studies, third-party reviews, speaking engagements, and customer advisory initiatives.
  • Track advocacy activities, customer participation, and key program metrics to support accurate reporting and program health.
  • Manage customer reference records, profiles, and availability across internal systems.
  • Develop and update advocacy documentation, templates, and internal resources that support efficient program execution.
  • Monitor shared advocacy inboxes and route requests to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support customer recognition and appreciation initiatives.

Customer Marketing Team Support

  • Draft internal communications that promote customer wins, advocacy opportunities, and program updates.
  • Assist with tracking program performance metrics and preparing reports or summaries.
  • Help organize marketing assets, customer content, templates, and documentation.
  • Coordinate logistics for customer stories, testimonials, webinars, and other advocacy initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain project trackers and documentation to ensure visibility across ongoing initiatives.

What you bring to the role

  • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written communication, copyediting, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience managing projects or coordinating multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle sensitive customer information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with CRM or advocacy platforms (Salesforce, ReferenceEdge, or similar) is a plus.
  • Experience supporting customer marketing, customer success, advocacy, or marketing operations is preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
  • Enthusiasm for creating exceptional customer experiences and helping customers share their success stories.

Contract rate of $20 per hour.
