Job summary

Givens Talent in Mebane, NC seeks a Customer Account Representative to manage customer accounts, process orders, and coordinate shipments. This role supports daily warehouse operations and requires organization and strong communication with customers and internal teams.

You will enter orders, track shipments, maintain records, and help with inventory and reports. The position is temp-to-perm with full-time hours, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with a pay rate of $18.00–$20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, order processing, administrative support, or a related position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and stay organized while handling multiple customer requests.
• High level of accuracy when entering information and reviewing documents.
• Comfortable working independently and collaborating with warehouse and transportation teams.
• Reliable attendance and a professional approach to customer service.
• Previous experience in a distribution center, warehouse office, or transportation environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is helpful.
• Experience using the NAVIS port system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, responding to questions and requests by phone and email.
• Enter and process customer orders, ensuring information is complete and accurate.
• Schedule and coordinate incoming and outgoing freight with transportation carriers and warehouse personnel.
• Prepare and review shipping paperwork, including bills of lading and receiving documentation.
• Track order activity and follow up on shipment delays, inventory discrepancies, and customer concerns.
• Update inventory transactions and customer information in the warehouse management system.
• Assist with cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and record reconciliation.
• Maintain organized electronic records and prepare routine customer and operational reports.
• Communicate with warehouse supervisors and other departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Perform additional administrative and account support duties as needed.
