Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client in downtown Columbus to hire a Customer Account Specialist for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and building positive customer relationships while helping resolve outstanding account balances.

The Customer Account Specialist will work directly with both business and individual customers to review account activity, research discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, account management, collections, AR, or related roles.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-focused communication skills.
• Leadership, supervisory, or team-lead experience preferred.
• Comfortable discussing outstanding balances and resolving account concerns.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced onsite downtown Columbus environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with business and individual customers regarding outstanding account balances and payment status
• Provide a positive, customer-focused experience while working toward timely account resolution
• Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies that may be delaying payment
• Partner with customers and internal teams to resolve billing or account issues and facilitate payment
• Maintain accurate documentation of customer communications, account activity, and follow-up efforts
• Manage multiple accounts and priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail

The Customer Account Specialist will work directly with both business and individual customers to review account activity, research discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding balances. We are looking for someone with a positive, upbeat personality and strong customer service skills who can navigate sensitive financial conversations professionally. Previous leadership, management, or team lead experience is highly preferred.
