Job summary

Montana Reclaimed Lumber in Gallatin Gateway, MT is seeking a 4-Sided Hand-Hewn Department Assistant to support the Department Supervisor with custom timber orders, inventory control, and safe yard operations. The role combines hands-on woodworking, forklift operation, and precise record keeping to ensure timely processing of orders and quality control.

This is a full-time position with a day shift, DOE compensation, and benefits including health, dental, vision, HSA, 401(k) retirement, holiday

Qualifications

• Strong math and measuring skills for board/footage calculations.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform outdoor yard work.
• Comfort with operating heavy machinery and power tools; training available.

Responsibilities

• Pull and process custom timber orders per work order specifications.
• Organize and maintain the department area for workflow, cleanliness and safety.
• Operate forklift, chainsaw and skill saw; perform daily maintenance checks.
