Job summary

JOHNSON MADISON / WESTERN BUILDING CENTER in Great Falls, MT is seeking a full-time Lumberyard Assistant & Delivery Driver. You will assist customers, inspect orders, unload materials, and load loads safely while meeting daily productivity goals. CDL Class A or B required. Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Applicants must be able to lift up to 80 pounds, follow safety procedures, keep records, and travel up to 200 miles for deliveries. Forklift experience is recommended but not required.

Qualifications

• Must adhere to all safety regulations.
• Clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
• Class A or B CDL.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Ability to read the customer’s order and fill it accordingly.
• Proficient customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of company products.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with purchases in lumberyards and at delivery sites.
• Inspecting all orders before shipping to ensure accuracy.
• Unloading building materials arriving on stock trucks.
• Load building materials using product knowledge and proper handling.
• Maintain a clean and organized lumberyard.
• Plan and pace work to meet daily, weekly, and team goals.
• Keep accurate maintenance logs for vehicles.
• Observe all safety procedures to prevent injuries.
• Attend monthly safety meetings as required.
• Safely operating heavy equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Travel up to 200 miles for deliveries when needed.
