Allied Universal is hiring for a Custom Protection Officer (CPO) Flex Officer in California. The role conducts armed and/or unarmed patrols, controls access, monitors CCTV and alarms, and composes reports. Shifts may be irregular with little advance notice. Pay is $21.90 per hour.

Responsibilities include patrolling designated areas by foot or vehicle, deterring misconduct, and responding to emergencies. A strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and customer service is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One or more of the following qualifications: Military Police/Elite Military Forces/Combat Zone experience, Public Safety Academy graduate, Bachelor’s in law enforcement/criminal justice, 8+ years military service, or Associate’s degree in law enforcement/criminal justice.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions creating security concerns.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire in emergencies.
• Warn violators of infraction rules.
• Permit entry to authorized persons and monitor entrances/exits.

Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Custom Protection Officer (CPO) Flex Officer. The Custom Protection Officer Flex Officer will conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. The Custom Protection Flex Officer will work at various assignments and may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice.

Pay:

$21.90/Hr.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
• Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
• Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess one or more of the following
• Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
• Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
• A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
• Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
• Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.*A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
• Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
