Job summary

NHS Jobs in Carlisle is seeking a Registered Nurse/Paramedic for BANK shifts at our Carlisle Custody Suite. You will work a minimum of one shift per month across 24/7 patterns, including 06:45-19:00 and 18:45-07:00, with paid breaks on all shifts.

You will conduct clinical assessments to determine fitness for detention, interview, charge and release, including capacity assessments. You will manage medical emergencies, treat injuries and provide healthcare advice in a fast-paced custody

Qualifications

• Provide clinical assessments in custody environments.
• Manage medical emergencies in fast-paced settings.
• Perform and document forensic samples and injury records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments to determine fitness for detention, interview, charge and release.
• Manage medical emergencies and provide healthcare in custody.
• Collect, preserve and document forensic samples; liaise with police, custody teams and NHS services.
