Job summary

EMED Group's Bristol Ambulance team is seeking an Emergency Care Assistant (Bank) to support paramedics on frontline ambulances and at events.

You will assist with patient assessments, clinical support, vehicle checks and documentation, delivering high-quality pre-hospital care and ensuring safety.

Full training is provided. Flexible 4 on 4 off or 2 on 6 off patterns; DBS check funded; commitment to patient safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Essential Level 3 ambulance driving qualification.
• Level 3 ambulance urgent care qualification required.
• Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Response & Retrieval Driving: drive and transport patients safely.
• Clinical & Patient Support: assist clinicians and manage equipment.
• Vehicle & Equipment Management: conduct pre/post-shift checks and report defects.
• Operational Support: stay ready for deployment and maintain records.
