Job summary

Eden Brown Synergy is seeking a Healthcare Professional to join our custody clinical team in the UK. You will provide 24/7 support to detained individuals, perform clinical assessments, medicines management, collect forensic samples, and maintain meticulous records to ensure health, safety and welfare in police custody.

The role emphasises teamwork, patient wellbeing, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with consultant FMEs, doctors, custody staff, and partner organisations, travel

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Paramedic with 3+ years' service in UK.
• Be continuously resident in the UK for at least 3 years.
• Full UK driving license.
• Competent in oral and written English.
• NMC/HCPC registration and professional accountability.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, responsive custody healthcare for detained individuals.
• Carry out forensic sampling as required.
• Assess fitness for detention, release, interview and understanding of charges.
• Evaluate intoxication/withdrawal and obtain blood samples per Road Traffic Act.
• Guide custody officers in healthcare needs and care prioritisation.
• Deliver forensic practitioner services per PACE 1984 and local protocols.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with governing procedures.
• Collaborate with consultants FMEs, doctors, custody staff and partners.
