Northern Trust is seeking a Custody Client Service Consultant to deliver exceptional client service and operational excellence within Asset Servicing. You will support investment manager and fund company relationships, resolving complex inquiries, coordinating solutions across internal teams, and driving sustainable service improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in financial services, custody, asset servicing, or client servicing.
• Experience coordinating across operations and functional teams.
• Knowledge of custody, securities processing, and cash operations.
• Ability to mentor junior team members.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication to explain complex topics to clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned client and investment manager relationships, understanding servicing requirements and priorities.
• Deliver proactive oversight of daily custody activities to ensure service excellence.
• Handle complex inquiries and escalations across cash and securities activity, settlements, income, and corporate actions.
• Coordinate with Custody Operations, Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, Investment Operations, Product, Technology, and other partners to resolve needs.
• Build strong relationships with clients and internal partners to drive process improvements and service enhancements.
• Act as escalation point and technical resource for team members on time-sensitive matters.
• Support onboarding, training, and cross-training to strengthen custody expertise.
